Law Alumni Board: Your Alumni Governing Body

The Law Alumni Board (LAB), serves as an advisory body to the dean and the Office of Alumni Relations. Including leading members of the alumni body who have made a commitment to advance the mission of the law school, LAB works to engage alumni in support of Seattle University School of Law’s mission of educating outstanding lawyers who are leaders for a just and humane world. LAB advises the alumni office on initiatives and activities designed to strengthen relationships in building an inclusive law school community of alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends.

Nominate Your Peers

The Law Alumni Board and the Office of Alumni Relations, would like your help in identifying alumni leaders to serve on LAB. The nominations committee looks for alumni who are willing to devote time, imagination and resources to the LAB's goals, including:

  • acting as advisors to the alumni office and the dean;
  • acting as informed advocates for the mission and vision of the School of Law;
  • serving as a liaison between the school and the legal community;
  • taking a leadership role in sponsoring events, fundraising, and supporting the school on public policy issues;
  • recognizing professional achievements of alumni;
  • fostering a sense of responsibility for the law school among its graduates;
  • and serving as mentors to its students and recent graduates.

The Law Alumni Board is accepting nominations for seven open positions. Please feel free to complete an application and nominate yourself or a colleague. If you are nominating a colleague, please refrain from contacting the nominee as this is a confidential process.
