For the Legal Aid and Social Justice Community
ATJI serves as a liaison between the legal aid and equal justice community and the law school. We realize social justice advocates are very busy serving the legal needs of the underrepresented and marginalized and may not have time and resources to determine how law students can help them. As such, ATJI offers the following assistance to the legal aid and equal justice community:
- Work with advocates to identify how to best utilize law student volunteers to help further your work (e.g., advise on the scope of work law students can handle, identify discreet research projects or outreach work)
- Share your existing volunteer, internship, and fellowship opportunities with law students through our blog, Facebook page and targeted outreach/recruitment.
- Help develop law student trainings to prepare them for working with you, your organization and/or a particular project.
Please contact ATJI by emailing Kerri Kline, ATJI Program Assistant, at klineke@seattleu.edu or calling 206-398-4173. We look forward to collaborating with you!
