Special Education Hearing Officer and Mediator Training

The Academy for IDEA Administrative Law Judges and Hearing Officers, on behalf of the California Office of Administrative Hearings, will conduct a four-day training for mediators and special education hearing officers in Oakland, California. The training will address ethical issues in mediation, implications of bi-polar for special education, importance of RTI for special education; inclusion and peer-review research; efficient case management and transition. Attendance is available only to persons who currently serve as special education hearing officers, or to state-level hearing system administrative personnel not involved in representation of state or local level education agencies.
