Michael Dion

Biography

After graduating law school, Professor Dion worked for a year as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph L. Tauro, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He spent his next five years as a litigator in private practice, first as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell in Manhattan, then as an associate at Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe in Seattle. His civil practice area was complex commercial litigation, including antitrust, contractual disputes, civil RICO claims, and class actions.

He is now an Assistant United States Attorney in the General Crimes Unit of the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington, where he prosecutes a wide variety of federal criminal cases, include drug dealing, kidnapping, bank robbery, child pornography, firearms offenses, fraud, theft and embezzlement.
