Biography
Commissioner Gallaher was appointed as a Family Law Commissioner in June 2000. He has served on the At-Risk Youth/CHINS/Truancy calendar, the Child Support Modification calendar, the general Family Law Motions and Domestic Violence calendar, the Dependency calendar and the Involuntary Commitment calendar. Before becoming a commissioner, he was in private practice and later became a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Family Support Division in King County, opening and managing the Kent, Washington office upon the opening of the Regional Justice Center.
Commissioner Gallaher has been a member of the Superior Court Judges’ Association Family and Juvenile Law Committee since 2001. He is a member of the Washington State Child Support Schedule Workgroup and was a member of the Joint State-King County Breakthrough Task Group to improve the efficiency of the dependency calendar.
