Graham B. Strong

Visiting Professor of Law

Biography

Professor Strong has practiced both as a federal prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney in the District of Columbia, and taught for seven years at the University of Virginia School of Law. He has been a Visiting Professor across the nation, including at Hofstra University School of Law, University of San Diego School of Law, University of Texas School of Law, UCLA School of Law, and Cornell School of Law.

He was voted Professor of the Year at Santa Clara University School of Law. At the University of San Diego School of Law, he was a two-time recipient of the Award to a Visitor for Excellence in Teaching. Professor Strong has chaired the AALS Section on Clinical Legal Education, and proposed and initiated the formation of the independent Clinical Legal Education Association (CLEA). He teaches and writes in the fields of evidence, criminal law, criminal procedure, and professional responsibility. Among his publications are "The Lawyer's Left Hand: Nonanalytical Thought in the Practice of Law," in the University of Colorado Law Review, and "Fault, Threat and the Predicates of Criminal Liability," in the Wisconsin Law Review.
