The Registration Process
Our goal is to allot course space as fairly as possible. To that end, we have divided the registration process into three stages:
Registration Lotteries (Fall and Spring only): Lotteries are run to allot space in Second Year Required and Equal Preference Courses.
Registration Appointments: Students may register for most other courses during their registration appointment. Registration in Full Time Preference and Part Time Preference courses is restricted until the end of registration appointments.
Open Registration and Add/Drop: After registration appointments end, students may register themselves for any open course for which they meet the prerequisites. Classes may be added or dropped without penalty until the end of the first week of classes.
