1L Mentor/Mentee Program

Seattle University School of Law would like to extend to you the opportunity to participate as a mentee in both of our Mentee/Mentor Programs.  The first is a program that matches 1Ls with Alumni mentorsThe second is a program that matches 1Ls with 2L, 3L, or 4L mentors.  The latter program is run by the Women's Law Caucus but is open to all students. These programs are intended to provide support and guidance to incoming 1L students.  We match 1Ls with our alumni and upper classmes in hopes of making the 1L experience more manageable.  You can find information about both programs below.

1L/Alum Mentor Program

We require that each participating 1L attend a Mentee Orientation on either Tuesday, August 30 at 12:00 p.m. or Wednesday, August 31 at 5:00 p.m in room C5.  In addition, we expect that each participating 1L exchange at least one email with their mentor before by October 1.  All mentees and mentors are invited to Red Mass and/or Social Justice Week Reception.

We hope that you consider participating in this program.  Please fill out the mentee application and send it to SULawMentors@seattleu.edu.  All applications must be turned in by Thursday, September 1st, 2010; however, mentees will be matched with mentors on a rolling basis.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email Fé Lopez at lopezf@seattleu.edu.
