Academic Resource Center 25th Anniversary
Seattle University's Academic Resource Center continues to change the face of the legal profession. The anniversary celebration recognizes the law school's uninterrupted commitment to access and diversity in the legal profession through the ARC Access Admissions Program and its Early-entry predecessor and honors the more than 700 alumni who have enhanced the profession with their service.
Friday, September 9

One of the greatest challenges facing the legal profession is the lack of access for and retention of members from historically underrepresented communities. In this interactive seminar, we will review the current landscape of and efforts by the law school and the profession to meet this challenge, followed by a "think-tank" conversation to generate recommendations. Presenters include 2000 ARC graduate James Armstrong of Armstrong Law Offices; Steve Crossland, WSBA President-elect; Chach Duarte White, WSBA Diversity Program Manager and 2000 ARC graduate, The Honorable Mary Yu, King County Superior Court; Dean Mark C. Niles and Professors and ARC co-founders David Boerner and Paula Lustbader.
