Work and Study Abroad
Seattle University School of Law prepares lawyers to practice in today's globalized world by offering international and comparative law courses at home and providing opportunities for students not only to study abroad but also to engage in internships and externships in diverse locations. Moreover, faculty at Seattle University School of Law have a range of expertise in areas such as International Human Rights, the Law of Globalization, International Intellectual Property, and Cross-Cultural Communication. Finally, as part of its Social Justice Mission, the law school's international programs are focused in partnering with institutions in the Global South, including Latin America and East and Southern Africa.
Seattle University School of Law established the first international human rights clinic in the Pacific Northwest and one of the few such programs on the West Coast, and the law school routinely brings in scholars from outside the United States.
The law school’s Legal Writing Program has a robust training program in Africa.
