As a Seattle University law school student, what do I have access to on the campus?
Once you are an enrolled law student, besides having access to all law school facilities, you have access to the Connolly Center (athletic facility), the main campus library, all dining facilities, bookstore, chapel, health services, counseling services and parking.
Am I required to have health insurance while in law school?
You are not required to have health insurance while in law school but we highly recommend it. For options, please click here.

I have a scholarship from Seattle University School of Law. Will these funds apply towards the summer course?
Scholarship dollars will not apply towards tuition for the summer term.
I am starting in the fall, when am I supposed to register?
Fall registration information will most likely be emailed in the middle of July.
What is the easiest way for me to access my Seattle University School of Law email account?
If you have paid a deposit you should have an SU email account. Go to owa.seattleu.edu to check it on a regular basis.
I understand I need to submit a final transcript from my degree granting institution to Seattle University School of Law. I submitted one through LSDAS. Why doesn't this suffice?
The American Bar Association has 2009-2012 Standards and Rules of Procedure for Approval of Law Schools. In Chapter 5, Interpretation 502-1 states that a law school must receive a transcript in a sealed envelope from the degree granting institution.
I am taking the summer Criminal Law course. When is the final exam for this course?
The final exam for the summer Criminal Law course will be Tuesday, August 3, 2012.
I haven't visited the school for an Admitted Student Open House, when is the next opportunity?
May 17, 2012 is Spring Visit Day, a day for all admitted students to visit Sullivan Hall and get to know future classmates.
Is there a deadline for deciding whether or not to start in June with the Criminal Law course?
We do not have a deadline for deciding whether or not you would like to start in June by taking the Criminal Law course.

While at Seattle University School of Law we hope that you can take advantage of our clinical courses, our Externship Program, our internships and our many centers and institutes. By utilizing all of these resources, you should leave with many practical experiences.
Does Seattle University School of Law have a mandatory grade curve for first year courses?
Yes, there is a grade curve for all first year courses except for Legal Writing. (More information)

First year courses 2012-11:

I have heard that some law schools offer a summer start. Does Seattle University School of Law offer a summer start course?
Seattle University School of Law allows all new incoming students to start in the summer if they choose. Criminal Law is the course offered two hours a day, four times a week for six weeks. The Criminal Law class will start Monday, June 21.
I have received notice about Admitted Student Open Houses. What are the times and locations?
All Admitted Student Open Houses are in the Courtroom (1st floor) of Sullivan Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I am taking the summer Criminal Law course starting in June. What are the section times?
There are three sections available; two from 2:40 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. and one section from 6 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. The 6 p.m. section is reserved for the part time evening students.
