In cooperation with the University of Alaska Anchorage, Seattle University School of Law will offer the program "An Exploration of the Rights of Alaska Natives and Environmental Law" in Anchorage, Alaska during the summer of 2008. Designed for law students at ABA-approved law schools who have an interest in exploring career options in Alaska, the program includes a substantive course, "Alaska Natives and Environmental Law," and a variety of related externships and internships that examine Alaska law and practice in the context of this specialized offering.
Seattle University welcomes visiting students in good standing from any ABA-accredited law school who have completed at least one year of law school. Students who meet those criteria are required to submit a letter of good standing from their current institution.
The Study Law in Alaska Program will offer a program and internships taught by faculty who are experts in their respective fields, as well as a variety of events to expose students to the Anchorage legal community. There will also be an opportunity for students who qualify to participate in externships. We will be happy to answer any questions regarding tuition and registration as well as any financial aid concerns. Housing will be available for students enrolled in the program on the University of Alaska main campus. To learn more about individual student experiences, please visit our testimonials page. You will not forget your visit to Alaska!
