As part of the Gala Celebration of the Seattle University School of Law 35th Anniversary, three of the Law School's most distinguished faculty will examine and discuss the implications of the new Washington Rules of Professional Conduct in three specific contexts.

A Law School exercise in legal ethics and the lawyering role.

Session 3: The Law and Ethics of Settlement
Ethical obligations in the negotiation and execution of agreements to settle disputed claims and the legal effects of the breach of those obligations, including the illegitimate use of full-payment checks, failure to disclose computational errors made by the other party, alteration of settlement documents, and negligence in drafting release provisions.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund at any time up to the seventh calendar day preceding the program (e.g., the Friday preceding a program scheduled for a Friday). Thereafter, you may transfer the amount of your registration fee to a subsequent program scheduled for that semester, provided space is available. We regret that we cannot carry credits from one semester to another.
