Professor Natasha Martin presented a paper entitled Black and Blue on the Inside: Silence, Domestic Violence and the American Workplace at the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health held in Paris, France in July. She presented as part of a panel on Work and Mental Health.

Professor Catherine O’Neill’s article entitled Restoration Affecting Native Resources: The Place of Native Ecological Science was excerpted in a book entitled Sophisticated Sabotage: The Intellectual Games Used to Subvert Responsible Regulation. The book also included a synopsis of another of Professor O’Neill’s articles and specifically mentioned that she teaches environmental law and environmental justice at SU.

Professor Julie Shapiro contributed a book chapter, Changing Ways: New Technology and the Devaluation of the Genetic Connection to Children, to a book entitled Family Law and Family Values.

Professor Ron Slye has contributed a book chapter, The International Criminal Court, to Pieces of the Puzzle: Keywords on Reconciliation and Transitional Justice. He has also completed a book chapter entitled Refugee Jurisprudence, Crimes Against Humanity, and Customary International Law, which will be published in a volume in memory of Joan Fitzpatrick and Arthur Helton, and an article entitled Comment on the South African Amnesty, which will be published in a book titled Justice in Transition—Prosecution and Amnesty in Germany and South Africa.

Professors John Mitchell and Anne Enquist have been named Co-Directors of Faculty Development for the School of Law, starting with the 2005-06 academic year.

In recognition of their scholarly work, Professors Margaret Chon and David Skover have been named the School of Law’s first Dean’s Distinguished Scholars for 2005-06.

Professor Eric Chiappinelli will join the Law School Advancement Team starting in the fall. Professor Chiappinelli will do so under the role of Associate Dean for Alumni & Professional Relations.
