Biography

Cameron Collins earned his law degree with honors from Seattle University, where he was Director of the National Lawyers Guild, Editor and Layout Coordinator of The Environmental Law Society Perspectives, and Assistant Editor of The Prolific Reporter. While at law school he was also Music Director and General Manager at KSUB, Seattle University's radio station, and he was an active member of The Entertainment and Sports Law Association, The Faculty Standards Hiring Committee, and The Hague Project. He furthermore served as Legal Observer Training Coordinator for the Seattle Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild and law clerk to Hon. Michael C. Hayden of the King County Superior Court. In Spring of 2006 he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Entertainment Law.

Cameron attended Santa Clara University for his undergraduate education, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and French & Francophone Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He was a member of the Lambda Upsilon Chapter of The Phi Alpha Theta Honors Society. During that time, he was a music editorialist for The Santa Clara and worked at KSCU Radio in many different capacities, including General Manager, Program Director, Promotions Director, and Fundraising Director. He was also a concert promoter and celebrated radio disc jockey, for which he was voted Silicon Valley's Best Disc Jockey of 2001 and Best Local Celebrity of 2002.

Cameron is a native to the Seattle area. He has also spent time living in the Bay Area and Paris, France. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Washington Lawyers for the Arts, the Solo/Small Firms and Intellectual Property sections of the King County Bar Association, and the Intellectual Property division of the American Bar Association. He continues to be an active member of the Seattle music scene as a musician, disc jockey, assistant concert promoter, blogger, photographer, and roadie, in the punk, indie, and hip hop scenes.
