Curt is the Sr. Vice President, Operations and General Counsel, of the Infectious Disease Research Institute, a unique "non-profit biotech" focusing on global health product development for diseases of poverty. Curt is an adjunct professor at the Seattle University School of Law, as well as in the Seattle University Institute for Public Service, where he teaches a course in global health to students in the Masters of Public Administration program. Curt is also an affiliate associate professor at the University of Washington Division of Global Health.
Curt has long-standing professional experience in the fields of epidemiology, global health, and intellectual property law. Curt's education includes a bachelors degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from Pacific Lutheran University; a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University; and a Juris Doctor, with an emphasis in Intellectual Property, from the Seattle University School of Law.
Curt has worked in Guatemala, New York City, and Washington DC, but is a long-time resident of the Seattle area and is admitted to practice in Washington State. He is fluent in Spanish.
