David Lance

Biography

David R. Lance is Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Assistant University Counsel at Seattle University. In his position, David provides legal counsel and advice on a range of matters involving business, policy, employment, intercollegiate athletics, public affairs, regulatory, risk management and communications issues.

Prior to joining Seattle University, David practiced higher education law at Miller Nash LLP. During law school, he served as legal extern for Governor Christine Gregoire.

David is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. He also serves on the Oversight Committee for the Union Gospel Mission's Open Door Legal Services Clinic.
