Biography

Professor Schoeggl was in private practice with Lane Powell Spears Lubersky LLP, in Seattle, from 1983 to1999, and has been with Mills Meyers Swartling from 2000 to the present. He has also been an adjunct professor of insurance law since 1998. Professor Schoeggl has been counsel or amicus in several significant insurance coverage decisions, including Smith v. Hughes, 22 F.3d 1432 (9th Cir. 1993); Weyerhaeuser Co. v. Commercial Union Insurance Co., 2000 Wash. LEXIS 914 (2000); Coventry Assocs. v. American States Insurance Co., 136 Wn.2d 269 (1998); American National Fire Insurance Co. v. B&L Trucking & Construction Co., 134 Wn.2d 413 (1998); Queen City Farms v. Central National Insurance Co., 124 Wn.2d 156 (1995); and Boeing Co. v. Aetna Casualty & Surety Co., 113 Wn.2d 869 (1990).
