
Jan Hasselman

Biography
Jan Hasselman is an attorney with the northwest office of Earthjustice, a non-profit, public interest law firm, dedicated to protecting natural places, resources, and wildlife and the right of all people to a health environment. Jan focuses on national issues include endangered species listings, public lands, pesticides and hydroelectric dams. Jan was a summer intern with the Honolulu office in 1995; joined the Seattle office as an Associate Attorney from 1998-2001; and returned as a Project Attorney in November, 2005.
Jan has a history degree from Wesleyan University, and graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1997, where he was president of the student environmental law society and executive editor of the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Nancy Gertner with the U.S. District Court in Boston.
