John Erlick

Adjunct Professor


Judge Erlick was elected to King County Superior Court in September 2000. He is the current Chief Civil Judge for that court. He has served on the Washington Supreme Court’s Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee, the King County Bar Association Fair Campaign Committee, and on the Washington State Bar Association Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution. He currently serves as Chair of the Washington Superior Court Judges’ Association Ethics Committee and is an alternate member on the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. John Erlick was in private practice from 1981 to 2000, focusing on defense of professional liability cases.
