Biography

Maja Larson is the General Counsel at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) medical research organization focused on accelerating the understanding of how the human brain works in health and disease. She is responsible for the legal, regulatory, risk management and grants management functions at the Allen Institute. Prior to joining the Allen Institute in 2007, Maja had a number of legal positions including VP and Associate General Counsel at Expedia, Inc. and corporate and securities attorney at Preston Gates & Ellis (now K&L Gates). She regularly speaks on panels on topics ranging from intellectual property, leadership and nonprofit governance and is a mentor for the University of Washington Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. Maja received a BA in Sociology from the University of Washington and a JD from Seattle University.
