R. Timothy Crandell
Professor Crandell has been a career prosecutor since 1982 specializing in white collar crime. He began his legal career with the King County Prosecutor’s Office in the Criminal Division and later the Fraud Division, leaving the office in 1990 as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney to join the Office of Attorney General for Washington State. As an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Justice Division, Professor Crandell for thirteen years has criminally prosecuted medical professionals and corporations who have defrauded insurance carriers in both state and federal court; he is a Special Assistant United States Attorney for purposes of heath care prosecutions. His current assignment with the Office of Attorney General is with the Sexually Violent Predator Civil Commitment Unit as well as the Criminal Litigation Unit where he continues to prosecute white collar criminals.
