Todd Carlisle is a 1995 graduate of the Seattle University School of Law. He was selected as a Goldmark Equal Access to Justice Intern by the Legal Foundation of Washington in 1994. He received the Seattle University School of Law Faculty Scholar Award in 1995, and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission Friend of Housing Award in 1999. He served as a staff attorney with Columbia Legal Services in Tacoma from 1997 until May 2004. Since May 2004, he has served as a staff attorney with the Northwest Justice Project in Tacoma. He has substantial experience as an advocate for low income, disabled, and elderly persons. He is well acquainted with state and federal public benefit programs for the poor. He has individual, group, and class action litigation experience in state and federal administrative proceedings, and state and federal courts. His practice includes Medicaid and Medicare law, Social Security law, developmental disabilities law, rights of disabled tenants, and income maintenance. He regularly provides training and education to clients and service providers on public benefits issues.
