David is an intellectual property litigator with extensive experience prosecuting and defending cases involving trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets, technology transfers and licenses, software development and publishing agreements, royalty disputes, and employee covenants not to compete. David has enjoyed numerous successes in first‐chair and strong second‐chair positions in high‐stakes intellectual property litigations.
Beyond the IP realm, David has significant appellate and business litigation experience. He has argued multiple cases before a variety of state and federal courts of appeals and was the lead drafter on many appellate briefs. His commercial litigation background includes substantial insurance coverage litigation, tax controversy work, executive compensation disputes, and defense of ESOP trustees and financial advisors against allegations of professional negligence and breach of ERISA fiduciary duties. David also counsels clients on myriad legal issues relating to consumer data privacy and security.
