Michael V. Riggio is a practicing attorney in Tacoma, Washington. He is a shareholder in the law firm of Luce, Lombino & Riggio, P.S. where he heads the litigation department. Michael also teaches on the adjunct faculty at the Seattle University School of Law. Since 1983 he has taught trial practice courses to senior law students. Michael is a frequent lecturer on the subjects of trial issues and ethics at mandatory Continuing Legal Education seminars. He is a former Chair of the Washington State Bar Association Committee on Liaison to the Armed Forces and is a Hearings Officer for the Bar Association conducting lawyer discipline hearings throughout the state.

Professor Riggio is a retired U.S. Navy officer who served as a fighter pilot in Viet Nam and later as a Navy attorney and Military Judge in the Judge Advocate Generals Corps (JAGC). He earned his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law with distinction ('76) and was awarded an LL.M. advanced law degree from the University of Washington School of Law ('86). He resides in Gig Harbor with his wife who is a Pastoral Counselor.
