Elizabeth Schott
Adjunct Professor

B.A. cum laude, Brandeis University, 1971; J.D., Boston University School of Law, 1975. Admitted to practice in the states of Massachusetts and Washington as well as for the Federal District Courts for Massachusetts and the Western District of Washington State, Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. From 1978 to 1997, Professor Schott worked at Evergreen Legal Services and its successor organization Columbia Legal Services, first as staff attorney and then as statewide litigation, advocacy, and training coordinator specializing in public benefits. From 1997 to 2000, Professor Schott was a Senior Policy Analyst at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, D.C. In 2000, Professor Schott joined Seattle University School of Law’s adjunct faculty; she continues to consult nationally on issues concerning welfare reform and public benefits.
