Latina/o Community Awards Reception

Seattle University School of Law will present the Latina/o Amicus Award to Joaquin Avila, director of the law school's National Voting Rights Advocacy Initiative and a Distinguished Practitioner in Residence. He is a nationally recognized expert in minority voting rights and has dedicated his career to ensuring fairness in elections.
The celebration is sponsored by the Latina/o Law Student Association and the Office of Alumni Relations as a way to honor Latina/o alumni and friends of the law school who exemplify the law school's goals of working for a just and humane world and diversifying the legal community.
