Law school welcomes class of 2014
(August 22, 2011) The School of Law welcomed a diverse class of 2014 with the start of the fall semester August 22.
This year's incoming class of 322 students is 53 percent women and 30 percent students of color. Students range in age from 20 to 60, with the average age being 28. Nearly a quarter are from out of state, and they represent more than 100 colleges and universities.
Many students bring prior work experience, including some who have worked at law firms, foundations, Fortune 500 companies, and governmental agencies, including the U.S. Patent Office. They join the population of the state's largest and most diverse law school, committed to educating outstanding lawyers who are leaders for justice.
