Assistance & Equipment Setup

Instructional Technology has a variety of equipment that can be checked out to faculty and/or set up for special events. You can also schedule assistance with using any of the equipment already built into our classrooms.

To start with, you can use this General form to schedule either assistance, training, equipment checkout, and/or equipment setup: Assistance & Equipment Setup/Checkout Request Form

Here are some of the most frequently requested equipment and assistance we can offer.

Classroom Technology Training and/or Assistance

Feel free to schedule Instructional Technology staff to come to your classroom to help you setup any audio-visual needs you have. While we dont' have the resources to attend every class throughout the semester, we are more than happy to help you learn how to use equipment the first few times you need it. Our services can also be scheduled to setup laptops for quest speakers, help you run videos while you are out of town, etc.

Microphone Setup

Though the majority of our classrooms are equipped with fixed podium and wireless clip on microphones, there is occasionally need for additional support. Therefore, you can request us to setup the following:

  • Table Microphones for panel discussions
    (C1, C5, C6, Courtroom, 2nd Floor Gallery, LSAX 142 & 143)
  • Podium Microphone
(Courtroom, 2nd Floor Gallery, LSAX Multipurpose Room)

Note: Some classrooms have permanent microphones connected to their podiums. These include: Sullivan C1, C3, C5, C6, 109, 110, 309, 327, 329 and the LSAX 142 & 143.

Sound System Setup (Portable Speakers)

A portable Sound System can be setup on the Court level or to boost the sound for events on the 2nd floor Gallery that have more than 150 attendees. However, we do require advance notice for these setups, and will need several hours before the event start to do a complete audio test.

Checkout Equipment (Faculty and Departments only)

We have additional equipment (not built into every classroom already) that may enhance your event or class. Know that for these items, you will need to come to Sullivan 311d to pick up and return the items yourself. They will not be delivered to you. These devices are for *single event use only, and must be returned afterwards.
