Message from the DirectorCelebrate the contributions of your alumni friends, build on treasured memories and stimulate your mind – all these are yours to experience during the 2009 Alumni Weekend. This weekend is for you, our alumni, valued members of the law school community. We have an exciting weekend planned to strengthen connections forged in law school, while reveling in the accomplishments of your alma mater.
Although only 35 years old, the law school has a proud history, fueled in large part by the accomplishments of our alumni in the legal community. The law school has also been transformed by the development of centers and institutes, hiring of incredible faculty scholars and recruitment of some of the brightest students in the country. This synergistic dynamic has helped Seattle University School of Law thrive and become a vital resource for the community.
Many of you also took the time to nominate your colleagues to serve on the Law Alumni Board (LAB), the governing body of the alumni association. The Law Alumni Board will host an all alumni association meeting to introduce the newest members of the board to the alumni community. In this issue, meet the new board members and learn more about the many activities happening during 2009 Alumni Weekend.
Over the past year, I have enjoyed getting to know many alumni at events and programs in Sullivan Hall and on campus. As many of you have indicated how much it has meant to you to reconnect with the law school, we hope to see you at this very special Alumni Weekend designed exclusively for you, April 24-25.
With warmest regards,
Grace Greenwich
Director of Alumni Relations
