Congrats to the Class of 2011
Brian Guerard, left, and Kurt Kruckeberg, received the Dean's Medal for their outstanding achievement in law school at May Commencement. They were among 265 graduates who received their degrees. The Class of 2011 is diverse, with the largest representation of international students on record, and others who came to law school with a variety of experience, including a French lawyer, a Tacoma neurosurgeon, a former police officer and a former minor league baseball player.

Reyna Ramolete Hayashi, a May ’11 graduate who has dedicated her life to working with poor, immigrant and underserved communities, earned a prestigious two-year fellowship to combat the growing problem of wage theft.
Summer in Alaska
As part of its longstanding Summer in Alaska Program, the law school is cosponsoring a CLE and reception in Anchorage June 23. The ethics CLE "Creating Collegiality Among Adversaries" features Dean Mark Niles. Gov. Sean Parnell ’87 will speak at the reception.
Par Fore the Course
Alumni and friends are invited to take part in the law school's annual golf tournament & CLE Aug. 5 at the Golf Club at Newcastle. It's a great chance to network while earning one ethics credit. Net proceeds fund post-graduate fellowships.
Fiscal year end
Please consider making a gift to the law school before the close of the fiscal year June 30. That is also the last day for gifts to count in the SU Law at Work Challenge, which benefits the Annual Fund for Excellence.
