Google Docs
Though you might have heard of Google Docs before, have you tried it? Google Docs is Google's answer to Microsoft Office, and OpenOffice, but the difference is, it is all on the web. Although your documents won't be 100% private through this service, the suite makes collaboration on documents, spreadsheets and presentations much easier. Further, Google Docs now has the ability to send out surveys with real-time updating of data within your spreadsheet.

iPod invasion
At one school, 93 of 438 freshman are using iPhones or iPod Touches to access the college's campus network. With a broad selection of educational applications already available, many schools are now looking to take advantage of these devices for mobile learning.

Over the next few months, the SU IT Department will be working with several professors, beta-testing its functionality.
