Last Chance: Faculty Technology Survey
Many of our faculty have already filled out the 2009 Law School Faculty Technology Survey. The survey is designed to elicit information on your current and anticipated use of instructional technology tools. DTV Transition Delayed
On February 12, President Obama signed into law the delay of the FCC mandated digital TV switchover. The new date for the mandatory changeover is now June 12, 2009, though many stations have already voluntarily begun to switch. Check with your provider to find out how this affects you.

Harvard Students v. RIAA
In the long standing battle between the Recording Industry Association of America and illegal downloaders everywhere, an interesting case has arisen. Harvard professor, Charles Neeson, as well as students from his CyberOne course, have undertaken the defense of Boston University graduate, Joel Tenenbaum, who is being sued by the RIAA for the alleged illegal downloading of seven songs.

Another Windows is coming
After the somewhat rocky launch of Windows Vista a couple of years ago, Microsoft is putting the finishing touches on the newest iteration, simply called Windows 7. Open to a public trial in January, most reviews were positive, saying that Windows 7 is what Vista should have been. Although there has been no release date set, it is rumored to come pre-installed on new computers by Christmas.

Explore Explorer
As part of Windows 7, a new version of Internet Explorer will be released. Microsoft is allowing free downloads of the latest pre-release version. However, please keep in mind that if you do wish to try it out, it is by no means a finished product and you may encounter instabilities and bugs.
