Common Pictures
Finding non-copyrighted images for academic use is sometimes difficult. A new website called Compfight searches the massive photo repository of Flickr, limiting results to those listed under the Creative Commons license. In other words, you can use these images for noncommercial purposes, as long as you credit the photographer.

These Course Management Systems (like TWEN) are starting to cater to individuals who are using their smartphones to access online materials.

TV on the Internet
It seems as if everyone, including the White House, is jumping on the live streaming bandwagon, and the Washington State Government is no exception. "Teach with TVW" contains videos relating to every facet of state law, similar to the federal version of CSPAN, but specifically designed for educators and categorized for easy searching.
Of note, their parent website also has a live feed, at TVW.org.
