Student Bar Association

The SBA is the governing organization of the law school student body. The SBA is headed by an elected group of student representatives, the SBA Council. Although our primary role is to provide a collective voice on issues facing students, the SBA also provides a diverse variety of educational and social events to maximize your law school experience. As a law student, you are automatically a member of the SBA and entitled to all benefits of SBA membership.

In addition to representing the student body and organizing events, the SBA also provides funding, governance and logistical support to the over 40 Student Organizations within the law school. Our student organizations provide valuable networking opportunities with colleagues, professors, and alumni. Student Organizations help to provide a necessary balance between academic work and extracurricular activities. A full list of many student organizations can be found on this site.

The SBA is also responsible for the publication of the school's weekly newspaper, the Prolific Reporter. The Prolific Reporter provides a forum for students to discuss and debate relevant legal issues and political topics and also includes important announcements and coverage of student events.
