Inbox Zero
In this google video, productivity guru Merlin Mann gives his presentation on how to deal with mountains of email. His secret? Delete, Delegate, Respond, Defer and Do. Watch his talk to learn his email jujitsu and keep your inbox empty. This talk is also an excellent lesson in presentation design. You'll notice a lack of bullet points and creative, yet simple, slides that bring home his message. Merlin gives the low down on how he made his presentation better here (highly recommended reading for all PowerPoint users).

Googlization
Author Siva Vaidhyanathan is blogging his way through a new book on the pervasiveness of the Google empire and its cutural implications. Vaidhynathan's project focuses on the pifalls and dangers of Google's dominance in our culture, implicitly questioning the company motto "Don't be evil." It's a timely and interesting topic, but so too is his use of a blog to test out his ideas and expand his research. It is a great example of academic blogging. Incidentally, his blog is co-sponsored by the Institute for the Future of the Book.
