The Course Book

A student course book accompanies the viewing of each of the videotapes. The course books are keyed to the Vaughn & Grossman book, A Documentary Companion to the Civil Action. References are also included to significant cases, The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and The Model Rules of Professional Responsibility. An annotated index to the book A Civil Action, prepared by Professor Margaret Chon is also included.

Each course book includes brief exercises for writing, research, and class discussion and role-play performances. The Course Books each include audio transcripts of the relevant videotape. The Course Book will assist teachers in using the three videotapes as well as the Documentary Companion to enhance their classroom teaching without sacrificing their regular course preparation. There are 4 problems for videotape 1; videotape 2 has 23 problems and videotape 3 has 12 problems.
