Session 3: The Law and Ethics of Settlement
Ethical obligations in the negotiation and execution of agreements to settle disputed claims and the legal effects of the breach of those obligations, including the illegitimate use of full-payment checks, failure to disclose computational errors made by the other party, alteration of settlement documents, and negligence in drafting release provisions.
