Why and Where Your Property Class Matters
12:00 p.m.
-
12:50 p.m.
Location: Room C5
Part of the "First Year Speaker Series." All law students are welcome to attend.
Doug Nash and Stephanie Nichols will discuss property in the real world, specifically focusing on how property law on Indian reservations is different from what students learn in law school property classes. For example, they will reflect on the doctrine of discovery, aboriginal title, and trust and restricted lands. They will also discuss how estate planning works in Indian Country and how all of these issues are relevant today.
Refreshments will be provided.
