Biography

Anne Bayerkohler leads Corporate Compliance at Coalfire, a cybersecurity services firm. Anne serves as the Data Privacy Officer (DPO) and is responsible for development and implementation of the Corporate Compliance program globally. Anne's focus is on improving privacy and compliance for all services offered through trend analysis and provides oversight for management into risk management, export compliance, standard operating procedures, policies, organizational investigations, Internal Audit, and Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions.

Anne joined Coalfire in December 2014, bringing to the team a near decade of experience in Quality Management in IT service delivery. As a Senior QA auditor at the Payment Card industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), Anne was responsible for PA-DSS Assessor Quality Management. During her tenure at the Council, she worked on internal process controls and internal audit as Business Process Manager for the Council's internal Quality Management System, developing and implementing an ISO 9001 conforming QMS. Continuing this work, Anne implemented an ISO 9001 certified QMS at Coalfire before moving to risk and Compliance.

Prior to working in the payment card space, Anne was a Security Administrator for one of the world's largest level one service providers. Anne was also an English Teacher both in public school and as a teaching assistant at the University of Houston, where she was awarded the 2006 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Leadership Development Award.

Anne is a leader with proven success uniting individuals and teams to reach their goals, a trained internal auditor and a subject matter expert on privacy and risk management. In 2016, Anne founded Coalfire RISE, the Women in Cybersecurity and Leadership association. Since 2018 she has served as an advisory member of the company's Diversity and Inclusion Council. In 2020, she won an Excellence in Leadership award from Consulting Magazine's inaugural Women in Technology awards. In 2021, Anne was award the inaugural Compliance With A Conscience Medal by Seattle University School of Law. As adjunct faculty in 2022, Anne taught Data Breach and Privacy Dilemmas at Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law.
