Biography

Karin Swope is an attorney in the Complex Litigation Group at Keller Rohrback where her practice has an expertise in intellectual property rights. Between 1993 and 1995, she served as law clerk to United States District Court for the Western District of Washington Judge John C. Coughenour, and between 1995-1996, she served as law clerk to United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit Judge Robert Cowen. She has engaged in complex commercial litigation and intellectual property counseling for over 10 years. She has represented a variety of clients in the technology and entertainment industries in matters involving trademark, copyright, and patent litigation, Internet legal issues, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair business practices, satellite signal theft, employment mobility and contract actions. Karin is a frequent speaker and chair of Continuing Legal Education programs for the Washington State Bar Association on intellectual property law.
