Involvement

I am a member of Seattle University Law Review and the Student Bar Association representative to the King County Bar Association New Lawyers Division (NLD). I serve as a liaison between Seattle U Law's student body and NLD. I also help organize events for law students and new lawyers to network and grow their community. I am a member of Seattle U's chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project, where I volunteer with pro bono attorneys around the United States to increase awareness of refugee rights and pathways to citizenship. I am also a research assistant for Professor Monika Batra Kashyap, working on U-visa applications with empathy and compassion for our clients. Finally, I am a proud Syrian American and a member of the Middle Eastern and South Asian Law Student Association.

Passion

The lack of diverse representation in professional legal roles is unquestionably evident, and I am driven to break historical barriers and make positive strides for my community. Giving back is extraordinarily important to me because it strengthens communities. By strengthening communities, we increase access to justice, transform our perspectives, and uphold the rights of minority and vulnerable populations.
