On-Campus Interviews (OCI) is a program that brings dozens of law firms and government agencies to campus to recruit law students for summer associate and post-graduate positions. The screening interviews are short, just 20 to 30 minutes each. Promising candidates are invited for a follow-up interview at the firm’s offices.

Seattle U Law offers three rounds of OCI.

  • Fall (August) OCI recruits students for summer positions at large law firms and government agencies for the summer between the second and third year of law school. Many large law firms extend post-graduation job offers to summer associates who’ve performed well.
  • Recent Grad OCI (September/October) connects employers to recent graduates who are seeking positions requiring a bar license, as well as JD-Advantage opportunities.
  • Spring (March) OCI is tailored to small and midsized firms or companies seeking summer interns and full-time attorneys.

Some employers hire exclusively through OCI. However, the majority of legal employers hire through other channels, so although this is an important part of your job search, you should not rely on OCI exclusively.

Students and alumni: Before participating in OCI, please email your application materials for review.
