Classroom Technology

Setup Assistance

  • Schedule a technician to assist, train, or set up specialized equipment for your class or event.
  • This includes connecting laptops of guest speakers, teaching first-time users to use podium equipment, setting up panel microphones for special events, and more.

Checkout Equipment

  • Faculty and staff can checkout web cameras, Skype interview kits, audio recorders, still and video cameras, portable projector, etc.
  • Students can reserve web cameras and pocket camcorders directly from the Law Library.

Recording Services

Telephone Conferencing

  • Each Sullivan Hall classroom contains an embedded telephone conferencing system connected to the sound system
  • Allows students and speakers to engage in two-way conversation with other parties connecting by telephone.
  • Portable units are also available for conference rooms.

Video Conferencing (hardware/appliance based)

  • We have a portable video conferencing unit that interfaces directly with the projection and sound system in each room.
  • Setup is complex and requires advanced notice; some limitations apply.

Web Conferencing (software/browser based)

  • Skype kits are available for checkout by staff and faculty.

  • We also maintain a limited-use Adobe Connects Pro license. Contact Loren Wells to discuss the possibility of using this.

Consultation & Training

Faculty and staff are also welcome to contact Media Services in order to discuss additional needs and ideas. A list of tutorials and tips is also maintained by the department.
